Vegan potato and beetroot gnocchi

Marex-gel potato and beetroot gnocchi is certified Vegan product, which guarantees that it meets the ethical code of compassion for all living beings.

Traditional gnocchi contain products of animal origin, i.e. milk and eggs, but in the case of Vegan potato and beetroot gnocchi, the characteristic ingredients have been replaced by plant-based versions, i.e. sunflower oil and bamboo fibers. The product may contain traces of egg and milk allergens only due to the minimal risk of cross-contamination in production.

Marex-gel Vegan gnocchi are a mixture of potato gnocchi and beetroot gnocchi. Gnocchi, considering the basic component potatoes, are the biggest source of carbohydrates. The proportion of sugar in the product is exclusively natural sugars, mostly maltose from the potato, corn and wheat. Beetroot, as an important component of the product, is a root vegetable, and due to its beneficial effects on health, it is often classified in jargon as the so-calledsuperfood. Potatoes and beets are important sources of plant based protein in the product.

Bamboo fibers and sunflower oil replace the functions of milk and eggs in the product i.e. they make the gnocchi compact while maintaining their softness due to the high proportion of potatoes. The high proportion of potatoes is a feature of all Marex-gel gnocchi, including certified Vegan gnocchi, which results in a short cooking time of only 2 minutes, i.e. until the gnocchi floats to the surface of the water. Due to the minimal use of sunflower oil, the final product contains little fat, and due to the added bamboo fibers, the product contains 50% more fiber compared to the usual product, which contains both insoluble and soluble fibers.
